CoRE IPD — Summer Schools
The CoRE IPD Summer School is an annual event that brings together early-career researchers, academics, and development practitioners across disciplines to critically engage with the most pressing development challenges facing the Global South.

About the Summer School

As an integral part of CoRE IPD, the Summer School serves as a platform for collaborative knowledge production and skills development in policy-relevant research. Each year, it is hosted by a CoRE IPD partner institution: the 2024 edition took place in Groningen, and the 2025 edition in Accra.

Our Aim

The Summer School is designed to provide:

  • Intensive Interdisciplinary Learning
  • Skills for Impact-Oriented Research
  • Collaborative Exchange
  • Mentorship and Capacity Building

Whether you are a scholar rethinking your research questions, a practitioner seeking academic grounding, or a policy actor interested in participatory and evidence-based approaches, the CoRE IPD Summer School offers a powerful opportunity to learn, unlearn, and reimagine development together.
