Here, she focuses on the responses of birds to natural and human-induced changes in environmental conditions, for example through climate change, agricultural intensification or urbanization. Irene Tieleman is a professor at the Groningen Institute for Evolutionary Life Sciences (GELIFES) at the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) of the University of Groningen (UG). She has published more than 120 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and serves on multiple editorial boards.
